Does anyone else get neck and back spasms?
I get them really bad when I am stressed
Right now I have them and it's terrible - my neck and back muscles keep spazzing out...
I take Flexeril (prescription) when it gets bad but I think I may need to switch soon - I have been taking the Flexeril since I was in college and maybe I am becoming resistant..
Anyone take anything else? I am in so much pain.

When I get like that I take Soma. It can kick your butt so you have to see how it will effect you. I usually need to make sure I'm resting when I take it.Feel better

I take zanaflex. I've been taking it for a long time (sparingly though..I don't think I've used a whole bottle in the 4 years I've been taking it).. and so far, so good. Sometimes I take 2mg, sometimes 4mg, but I find any msucle relaxer actually works better if you take the full amount , but the p[roblem is that's the amount that knocks you on your butt

I am in the middle of one right now that I have had since Friday - thank you stress!
I cant help you with a muscle relaxer reco though....I always just take some alleve that helps for a bit. How do you get those anyway? Tell the dr you have spasms?

I usually take an anti-inflammatory (Naproxen) with a flexeril.
I know the pain you feel....Feel better!

I've had back spasms for 30 years. I get them so bad sometimes that I cannot turn my head and am not able to walk upright. I've taken prescriptions over the years but nothing seems to help. The only thing that relaxes the muscles and relieves the pain for me is to rub in Ben-Gay or IcyHot and use a heating pad. I, also, take Aleve. I hope this helps. Feel better.

I was having neck spasms after hsving my little guy and my dr. said to take motrin (anti-inflammatory) it worked great
