Does anyone else get overwhelmed this time of the year?

I was planning for March last night and I realized that there is still so much I WANT to do with the class and I am nervous how I'm going to squeeze it all in with the crappy T/C I HAVE to do with them. Aside from squeezing in time to practice for a grade show in June, Istill want to do 2 more book studies, have a poet-tea for the parents, do a month long research project with the class, another major art project AND do my video and observations. And I don't want to do important stuff in June. Although that's when there will be time.

Re: Does anyone else get overwhelmed this time of the year?

This is the time of year, when I can plan out in my head week to week what I want to do and then realize that there is not enough time left to squeeze in everything!

I feel like from September until now, we want the days to go quickly, but now I want them to slow down - simply because I feel like I'm going to have to rush through the rest of what I need to teach!

Special Ed = Annual Review time!!!

It's CRAZY to say the LEAST! It's not like you can just put teaching and collaborating aside (I'm a Special Ed Teacher in the Collaborative Model), and just say, "oh it's time for WJIII testing and Annual Meetings..." You have to do some CRAZY multitasking!!!

There is no way around it!!!

Do you go sequentially through your curriculum (chapter 1, then 2, then 3, etc)? In our district, we teach thematically pretty much (especially in SS/ENG/SCI) and we jump around with chapters.
