Does anyone else have to share their car with DH?
We HAD 2 cars, but his died right before our wedding..or should I say I told him to put it to rest because he kept TRYING to fix it and spending money when it would continue to break down. So he donated it.
We have had one car for a while, and can I just say it SUX!. We looked into getting a new car last Winter, but he decided to wait a while. However, now that we are expecting in 2 weeks I really think it's time we move forward with getting the 2nd car. Mainly because he works nights and lately has been working a lot of OT during the day, which leaves me stuck w/out a car..and I absolutely HATE IT!!!
Does anyone else have to share a car as well?

my S/O and I have shared a car for about the past 7 years. Sometimes it's tough, we do alot of unnessary driving, but it works for us!

DH and I shared a car for about 1-1/2 years. It was a bit of a pain, but we managed. The cost savings was great for us.
But we finally broke down last month and bought a new Subaru Outback cause the baby is coming!

we share a car... but, we usually don't drive during the week and on the weekends, we do most stuff together.
It becomes a problem when he wants to take the car for a weekend or something, then I feel like I am stuck at home with no way of gettign anywhere.

We share a car. Doesn't really bother me...we live in Brooklyn so I don't really need a car to get around.

we only have one car... it stinks because we have different work schedules, so I have to go into work a lot earlier than I need to.

I don't drive so DH does all the driving but he does all the running to the stores, picks me up from work takes me where I want to go so in a way we do share 1 car.

we do. We got rid of his when we moved to Chicago. We only have a garage spot for one car and parking another would be a PIA especially in winter. Most weeks he's traveling for work so it's not usually a problem except when he's got meetings locally (like today) and I need the car to go somewhere with DD.  I can't wait to move to suburbs so we can get another car.

We've shared a car for the past 5 years. We both work in the city so it's usually not a problem. Sometimes it can get annoying though.

Same here....
here too...we both take the train to work every day. The car usually just sits during the week.

We share a car but I hardly ever drive now since we moved to the city so I should say "shared".
DH needs the car for work so when he had to work late or on weekends, I was miserable with no way to get anywhere.

We do, but it's never been an issue since we live in Queens. I never even had a car until we got married, taking subways/cabs/LIRR doesn't bother me, and he walks to work.
