Does anyone elses 1 yr old not drink any milk????

my son will not drink milk at all not chocolate strawberry plain not any .

is this a problem ?? he is still having 1 bottle of formula and 2 bottles of Similacs Go and Grow a day totaling 18oz total a day and 3 to 4 oz of water .

he loves cheese and yo baby which he has every day but is this enough ??
im worried that he has to drink milk but he simply dosent like it shoud i talk to my ped about this or just let he be ??

Have you tried mixing the formula and the milk like 1/4 milk to 3/4 formula, and slowly decreasing the formula while increasing the milk? That being said, due to a milk allergy, my daughter gets no dairy at all, so she only has soy milk. Cow's milk, to me, is overrated.

My DS could not have cow's milk so he is on soy. Have you thought about trying soy milk.

My DD has probably drank 12oz of milk her entire life. She has no interest in it whatsoever! She doesn't eat cheese so I do the best I can with yogurt and when she turned 18 months we started giving her a calcium vitamin.

my DD stopped drinking milk when I took away her bottles (I think that was around 18 months).

Now I give her oj with calcium.

DS stopped with milk about 5 months ago. I tried chocolate milk and he still wouldnt touch it. I give him cheese and yogurt for calcium and I've also started the gummi-vites calcium.

DD is 18 months and still has one a.m. bottle a day. She won't drink milk out of a cup which is why I haven't dropped the last bottle. Every night I give her a cup with a little milk in it in hopes that one day she will just drink it. I know that doesn't help but your not alone.

thanks for all your responses i dont feel so bad now i thought we were the only ones not drinking milk.
neither me or my DH drink milk so he probably just dosent like it hey we cant stand the stuff

my dd doesn't... no matter what i tried. our ped said not to worry about it - just make sure she is taking her vitamin and eating other things like soy yogurt and cheeses.
the nurse st our allergist office told me not to worry either.... her son wont touch it either.

my son started out slow with milk but also loved yogurt then was drinking some but not a lot then he weened himself back off. I thought it was odd so I asked the Dr. Turns out he is milk intolerant and was smart for doing it-he got what I though were weird diaper rashes but turns out it was from the milk! Anyway we tried Soy which was unfortunately worse for us he got stomach aches and could not walk-turns out some milk intolerances and allergies react worse to soy-we would be that case-ha! Anyway the Dr said not to worry the main concern with milk intake is for calcium after a year old and to get juiced fortified with calcium to make up for it and he didn't need the milk at all-thank goodness because the intolerance got worse now he can't have milk in anything even food!
Good luck with the milk issue but check out everything make sure it is not causing some reaction which may be why the child doesn't want it.
