Does anyone elses toddler refuse to put clothes on?
It's taking us a half an hour to get dressed in the morning...it's a huge fight!!
I think I am going to have to start dressing Talia in her next days outfit instead of pajamas at night .

Re: Does anyone elses toddler refuse to put clothes on?
Oh yes, we have that battle every freakin' day. In fact, on Sunday, she jumped in a puddle of mud, so I brought her in the house to change her clothes, and little miss THANG had a 15 minute temper tantrum because I took off her shirt. She kept screaming over and over again "MY shirt!!"
You know what I find works? Give her a choice. So, now, what I do is I bring out two shirts from the armoire and I ask her which one she wants to wear. Same for the pants, socks and shoes. If she has input and feels like SHE is the one making the decision, she's much more compliant. But stick with TWO choices only. Trust me on that one

no....Antonio refuses to take his clothes OFF. At the ped's office he refused to take his hat off so there he was naked with a diaper and hat getting a shot.
When we take his socks off he screams..."socks, socks"

DS doesn't like to get dressed either now and he is only 18 months. Jackets, I slip one are in and then the other and the one is out again with him throwing himself on the floor. So now I just layer him. Luckly isn't been really cold. I have actually gotten him from his naps with his shirts off or his pj's half zipped down.

Michael is the same way at 14 months. He hates to change his diaper and get dressed but once it is all done it fine.

Re: Does anyone elses toddler refuse to put clothes on?
My first son was like this, so I had to promise "naked time" each day. This tactic actually worked, so each night after his bath he's get naked time to run ramped for a 1/2 hour. Then he would get dressed no problem any time!

Katherine isn't bad usually with her clothes, but I absolutely CANNOT give her a choice in matters like this. This is what happens when I do (in a different scenario because I'm not even going to get involved when it comes to getting dressed )...
Me: Do you want the Pooh plate or the Dora plate?
Kate: Dora.
Me: (putting food on Dora plate)
Kate simultaneously: NOOOO, Pooh Bear plate!!!!!!
Me: OK, fine Pooh bear plate (switching food).
Kate simultaneously: NOOOOOO, Dora plate!!!
Then I lose it.

Re: Does anyone elses toddler refuse to put clothes on?
When DD was around 18 months-2 year she always wanted a chose in what she was wearing, it was annoying but bearable. Now for the past week she has been refusing to wear pants at all!!! She wants to go to school in underwear! For me, I try to stick with favorite outfits and get her dressed while she is watching TV and distracted, but it still takes like 20 minutes!
