Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
My 2 boys (4yr & 2 yr) will be sharing a room in the near future, I am due in June with a 3rd and a girl.
I think in the beginning it is going to be awesome, but as they get older that's what I am worried about.
We are hoping to move to a bigger house with 4 bedrooms so they can all have their own rooms when they are older in the near future, that is the plan.
Saving $$ for it!!!

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
I shared a room with my sister until she got married.
Sometimes it was a pain, but I have some GREAT memories from it. Many of them involve knock down/drag out fights over living space LOL
I still remember the night before she got married, each of us laying in bed. Saying how it was the last night we would be sharing a room. How different life would be

I am currently preggo and we are team green(for now). Once baby comes they will share with either DD or DS. I don't feel guilty at all we have a spare bedroom but its on the lower level (split level home) so no one wants to sleep down there.

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
2 of my girs share a room and they love it and hate it some times. It's awesome how close they are but they do fight. Honestly I think they would fight anyways whether or not they shared a room, so I don't think it makes a big difference, it's a sisterly thing. One minute they love each other the next minute they don't.
Just like the other poster. We do have a spare bedroom but they actually wanted to share. I'm sure with 2 girls once they get into the teenage years we will have issues, but until then it works out great!
ETA. I just saw that you were planning on moving in the near future, so you shouldn't have a problem till they reach the double digits atleast so you have time

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
Nope. My boys are 7 and 4. We have a cape so we do have a room downstairs that we now use as a toy room. My older one sometimes says he wants to move to that room but they honestly have a great time together and I hope he never does. I still have the monitor up there and we often listen to them when they go to bed and the things they say are sooooooo cute. Memories that will never be forgotten (I too shared a room with my sister).

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
My sister and I shared a room until we I was 10/11 and she was 7/8. Then we moved and had our own rooms.
There were a couple of nights when I would see a scary movie and I couldn't sleep by myself I would go sleep with her in her bed. Don't think she liked it, but I wouldn't leave.
I kinda think maybe if we shared a room longer or until I left for college we would be closer.
I think about that too.

Shared a room w my BROTHER through my freshman year of HS, & for Summers after that when he was home from college! We didn't always love it but we became best friends because of it. I'm grateful for it.

My boys share a room - 3 and almost 1. We have a spare room too but would like to keep it for visitors. No issues so far! If it gets bad down the road i can see one moving into the guest room.

Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
My sister and I shared a room for 15 years, basically from the time she was born until I went away to college... and then summers after that too... We never fought and we never minded and we are seriously each other's best friend to this day. I wouldn't worry about it, I always liked having someone to "bunk" with!!

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
Not at all! We plan to have more children which would mean our older boys who are a year apart will share a room. I'm hoping they love having another sibling more than they'd miss not having their own rooms
My brother and I split a bedroom for 15 years. You manage

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
My girls share a room because they wanted to. They are 18 months apart and best friends. They can't sleep without each other in the room now and are closer than ever. I am so glad that they are so close. In the future, we want to add on to our house, but our plan is to keep them together...I think sharing a room is good for them.

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
My DH shared a room with his twin brother until he moved in with me. They had some blowouts through the years and a hole or two in the walls but for the most part, I don't think either of them would have changed anything.

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
My B/G twins share a room, and they love it. I don't feel guilty at all. I actually feel more guilty about my younger DD who has her own room - like she is being left out.

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
I was the only girl with 2 brothers. My brothers shared a room and I was so jealous! I felt left out of everything.
I always wanted a sister to share a room with!

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
I think when they're older, we'll have to figure something else out, but for now - 2 boys, 2 girls, everyone is sharing. There's nothing to feel guilty about. Ryan & Colin love sharing a room. Sometimes I wish they had their own so they wouldn't play around so much - but they're building memories!

Re: Does anyone feel guilty about their LO sharing a room?
Don't feel bad. I shared a room with my sister(s) almost my whole life until I got married. There were great memories made there.
ETA: and yes, even in our 20s, we still had great talks and stuff that I don't think would have happened had we had our own rooms.
