Does anyone have a Boston Terrier?
I Love them!!! They are so cute.
I actually LOVE all dogs!
Anyway, I'm thinking of getting one.
I was told that they are very hyper?
Is this true?
How big do they get full grown (pounds)?

I have one! We got her as an adult and so she's pretty mellow... she's also on the small side, only 12 pounds.
Our friend's Boston, on the hand, is much more active (she could play, and play, and play...), and weighs about 20 pounds or so. They're very 'top heavy' dogs.

YOu could go online and research the breed.
If you decide to get one, please don't go to a pet store. Looking into rescuing one or go to a reputable breeder.

I have two.
There are many BT rescues, just google it.
Males average 20-24 lbs, females 16-20, but I've seen some larger and much smaller, that's just an average.
Our 11 month old loves to play, so I would say she has her hyper moments. She needs her walks, dog park time and indoor play time. She weighs 16lbs. They tend to be gassy, one downside, but they are easy to groom, light shedding, and tend to not bark too much. They are very sensitive.
I did a lot of reading online about them before I got one, do a search, just about everything you read is true and a good basis to see if its the right breed for your lifestyle.

I have one...I love him!!  I have pictures in my album (I just uploaded) as well as on a link somewhere on this board.
My puppy's going to be a big boy...over 25 lbs, but like bluesash said, their average is 15-25 lbs.
Brooklyn IS a hyper boy...but once he gets enough exercise he has no problem sleeping. In fact, he loves to sleep.
I have a Himalayan cat and wanted a comparable dog and am so pleased with my Boston. He's my husband's, but he stole my heart. They are super smart and expressive too!

I will post some pics of both of ours on Sat. I'm getting a new camera via craigslist (lost my old one at our local pet 'howloween' event) and can't wait to get some better ones up of the new pup, Paisley, with her big sister, Piper.

He is about 15pds...to me a smaller version of what they are.

How old is he?
Thank you!  He's 12 weeks.
Here's a picture of his mom. She's tiny, about 14lbs., if that.
Here's a picture of his dad. He's a big boy, looks like a perfect mix of bulldog and a pitbull terrier (the breed was started as a mixture of terrier and English bulldog). He's at least 25 lbs.
And this is a picture of his litter at almost 7 weeks. He's the second from the right...and as you can see he was at least 2X the size of his siblings. The runt is the first from the left...she was tiny.

He is sooo good with Andrew though which we are soo happy about. Very good dog but watch out for the gas and our Bailey is super hyper.

me me meeee!!!
I love this dog sooooo much, i wouldn't even say there are any negatives. he's the sweetest, most loveable little thing i've ever met. i wouldn't say he's hyper, but he plays and tires himself out, then sleeps for hours  just like a baby.
he's 9 now - we got him at 4 months. He's 21 lbs. I have no doubt I will have bostons for the rest of my life.
