Does anyone have a Honda Accord Coupe... around 2001... Carseat Help!!!

Hi!!!

I have a Honda Accord Coupe, and cannot find my owners manual... can you tell me where it states the best place for the carseat to go... I am assuming it is the center of the back seat... but I just want to make sure!

Thanks!

I'm not sure what year your coupe is, but we have a '98 Accord coupe and our car seat is installed in the center. The car is so old it doesn't even have the LATCH system!

The 2 side seats have the LATCH. Those are the best way to install the seats. However, it is always best to install in the center in case of a side impact...

I have a 2004 and I have the car seat in the middle. I can check my manual for you.

However, we put the seat in the middle because there is no other way to get DS in the car if the seat is on either side when rear facing. It is a PITA to get DS in and out so most times whoever has DS (which is usually me) has the truck.

When we turn the seat around forward facing we plan to put the seat behind the passenger seat. It should be MUCH easier to get DS in and out. And then hopefully I can get my car back & DH can have his truck back.

ETA: I just realized you are probably tallking about the infant seat. Everything above is what we did with the convertible carseat.

When we were using the infant seat we put it behind the passenger. Again, that was the best place so it was easy to get the carrier in & out of the car. If it was in the middle, I would have never been able to get DS in & out.

we have a 2002 but don't use the carseat in it. Have you tried checking the Honda website for owner manuals? It may be on there.

Thanks Ladies!

I have gone to the actaul website and tried to DL the manual, and of course it only DL the first page! ***... hehhee lol

ITs a 2001 honda, and yes its an infant seat... I would think the middle would be the best, but I am not positive...

Thanks again for all your help ladies!

I have a 2001 Accord coupe (2 door) and I would not put a carseat in the middle. It seems to me like the middle is "bumped up" more than the 2 seats on the side. It just doesn't seem sturdy enough for a carseat in my opinion.
