Does anyone have a Radio Flyer tricycle w/ handle?
Similar to this?
I'm trying to figure out if the handle comes off and if it can be used as a regular tricycle with real working pedals (not just free wheel) but the description doesn't say such. Anyone know?

yes the handle does come off - if you look at the picture you will see a pin at the bottom of the bar that you can take off and the hadle slides out.

yup - the child can pedal too:) - I have this one in red but without the canopy on it. My son got it when he was 2 for his birthday . It is till in great shape and he is 4 now.
eta - they have them in target stores so if you want to go look at them you can.

I saw it at TRU this morning, but they didn't have it assembled an on display. Just the one without the canopy and I wasn't sure about the handle/etc.

How much is this one Summer? My ped actually suggested getting Bella one now so she can learn to ride one. And since she's rather tall (which we also found out) my ped said she should be able to reach the peddles well.

I'm neurotic about sun protection, but that canopy seems a little small to even cover anything, doesn't it?

It's 79.99 in the store. My sister and BIL are getting it for her for her bday I think She couldn't reach the pedals completely on the blue and red one they had set up, but I figure she is bound to get a little taller soon (I hope!).

If it's the same size as the non-pink one, it was decent size, not huge like a stroller. I'm not sure how much it would block out, but it works for me to stack crap on when we are at the park (jacket, etc.)
