We used Econotherm about seven years ago on our old house, they did a good job.

I have called this company twice (calls were about 5 weeks apart) and left messages and never got a call back!Chat Icon

I was so annoyed. They are local so I've seen their trucks and wanted to support a local business. Guess they didn't need my business.

Someone on here recommended Re-Insulate America.

We used JC Homecare to do two different parts of our home over a 2 year period. I think it was about $900 do do the one-car garage that had been converted to a family room, and about $1300 to do the upstairs attic bedroom area. They were terrific, clean, prompt - can't say anything bad about them, and you can have them come back later (during cold weather) and they will use a heat sensor to determine if heat is leaking due to the insulation settling, and they will re-fill that area at no additional charge. Because ours were small jobs and DH could be flexible with scheduling they were able to give us a better price by fitting us between some bigger jobs. We had a few days notice so it worked out fine. It only took a few hours to do. they are fully licencese in NYC, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester - main office is in Farmingdale - 631-756-5600

We used Delfino Insulation last fall for our unfinished basement (they insulated the bottoms of our first floor's beams/studs.

Seems they were reasonably priced (<$2k for 1000sq ft), but they were much sloppier than I would have preferred. Perhaps they figured because it was an unfinished basement, I wouldn't mind extra foam on my shelves and storage containers. Chat Icon

I was going to have this done last year too, but honestly it is not hard to do. We bought the materials and rolled out the unsulation on our own. It took 2 days to do both attics, but its really easy and you save a lot of money!
