Does anyone have a Sleep Number Bed?
We are thinking of getting one. We are thinking of giving our son our queen size bed and buying a new bed for us.
My DH never liked our bed, I love our bed. I like it being more soft, he likes it more firm. I was thinking this might be perfect for us.
Any feedback/personal experience?
Also, cost is always an issue, how much did you pay?

Re: Does anyone have a Sleep Number Bed?
we have one. it works good for us b/c DH and I have the same issue. i am at 55, he's at 75. (the higher the number, the firmer it is)
the only annoying thing is through the night it will deflate or harden due to temperatrure conditions. (think about tires)
But, i am very happy with it. easy to move with us and store (back when we sold our other house and put it in storage )
we paid 800.00. it wasn't the highest-end model that they have.

Re: Does anyone have a Sleep Number Bed?
I had one and loved it - great for different type of sleepers.
I'd recomend it to any couple. Maybe a little pricy for a child but for a couple - go for it.
Its not like you are sleeping on 2 different beds so you couldn't "cuddle" but you do each have your own space to sleep.
Think about the times you had a long weekend in the garden and need some extra support, or if you are/were/will be prego. I know I was changing my number durning that period.
FYI - I think QVC sells them too...

Re: Does anyone have a Sleep Number Bed?
My brother and SIL have one and LOVE IT. My brother has hip problems (from jumping out of airplanes in the army, lol) and he is really happy with the sleep # bed.
I might consider it for my next mattress purchase because DH loves a firm mattress (I like soft) and is always complaining about our pillowtop.

Re: Does anyone have a Sleep Number Bed?
I LOVE our sleep number bed. It was such a great investment. It costs more but it's suppose to last longer than a regular bed so we'll see. I really have no complaints about it at all. It was fabulous when I was pg. I wouldn't have made it through two pg's without that bed!!

Re: Does anyone have a Sleep Number Bed?
Ok it seems like im in the minority but I HATE the sleep number bed!!!
In my opinion its a glorified air mattress. Honestly whe it got delievered and I was putting it together with my dad I was horrified that I just spent close to $1,000 for an air mattress. LIterally it blows up and then there is this 1" padding that goes over it and thats about it!!!... but I said to myself "you need to sleep on it first, dont freak out".
I slept on it and let me tell you I was not happy. I felt like every time I turned over in bed I flopped around. Its been about a year since my DH and I have had it and we are dying to get rid of it but cant see throwing away $1,000 yet. We're gonna stick with it till we buy a house and then stick that sucker in the guest room.
Everyone, is different... you might love it who knows! The thing that bothers me the most if the construction of it. I mean when I went to the store and tried it the guy was making it "firmer" and "softer" but I didnt think beyond that... like "how is the bed going from firmer to softer?" Well he is basically inflating and deflating AN AIR MATTRESS!!! ugh... I get annoyed thinking about it.

Re: Does anyone have a Sleep Number Bed?
We have one and I love it. I don't remember how much we spent but I think it might have been a couple grand, since we opted for a king size. I was waking up every day with a back ache that lasted all day. Since we got this bed I have not had any back problems at all. Still can't believe we spent so much for a mattress, but in the end, it was worth it.
