Does anyone have a trundle bed for their DC?
I am thinking about getting a trundle bed for DS. I am having DS#2 in March and DS#1 is 14 months but has only slept in his crib 2x for naps and that's it. I'm not wasting my money and getting a second crib that won't be used and just going right to twin bed for his big boy room and give #2 the all already to go boy nursery.
I am seriously considering a trundle. We live in a tiny house and I am thinking, now it works with them in 2 rooms but what if I need to combine rooms, a trundle would be 2 beds in one, with the one hiding away and how fun is that. DH said they would hate it, but I can only see them hating it after age 6 or so and by then we won't be here anymore.
Also, I have a half sister who is 12. She lives out of state and visits a few times a year and sleeps on my couch because I don't have a spare room. It would be nice to have a bed for her.
Also, since the rooms are tiny, we could use the trundle for a lot of storage (toys, linens, etc) and not buy a mattress for it. I have a blow up twin mattress that I could throw in there for when my sister comes and if the boys need to share the bed down the line then I'll just buy another mattress.
If you have one please share the positives and negatives or if you had one growing up.
Thanks

My daughter has a trundle under her daybed but I only use it for sleepovers and what not.. I wouldn't use it for every day use. It's not as comfy as the regular bed.
