Does anyone have an IPod shuffle? Or an IPod in general? Need help...
I am trying to upload songs to my shuffle for the first time but can't get them to play. I have them all in Itunes in a playlist, but when I disconnect the IPod and try to play it does nothing. Any suggestions?

Did you move them from the "Playlist" to the "IPOD" folder? That's when it will download onto the Shuffle.
Mine is named "Lisa's IPOD". I drag the playlists I want into that folder then plug in my IPOD Shuffle and viola!

Thanks! Where's the Ipod folder? I don't have one listed under source, though the Ipod is plugged in.

I don't have the program at work and I'm really bad with this, but in addition to the playlist, there should be a library icon, a purchased icon, etc ... also. Then there should be an IPOD icon, what do you have in terms of folders?

I think I am missing it. I have library, podcasts, party shuffle, radio, music store, then limewire tunes, and the playlists I downloaded.

It automatically chooses songs from the library to shuffle.

Try Reading This
You should have an icon similar to this (blue highlighted, ipod mini), but with shuffle, instead of mini.

I think apple support said to try reinstalling the software, but I don't know.  Good luck, I'm sure it's easily fixed I just don't know exactly how to do it.

This happened to me when I first got my shuffle... i uploaded the songs, charged it, etc and it didn't play. I called Apple and they had me uninstall everything, and download the newest version of the software from online (not from the disc) and then update the ipod. AFter that it worked. She said this was a common problem with the shuffles... I guess they sent out bad software.

Thanks...I called and they walked me through everything, then decided I have a bad Ipod, so they are sending me a new one.
