I wouldn't get one, personally. My DS is always falling in the crib. He walks back and forth and sometimes falls. Or if he is tired and he tries to get up, sometimes he falls down and hits the sides.

My parents have one for when we visit them. They live out of state. I wouldn't get one for everyday but it works great temporarily.

my BFF has one, and although it is gorgeous it is surprisingly unsteady.

Re: Does anyone have an iron crib?
I remember her asking my Dh to come over to make sure it was assembled correctly since it was "shaky" no matter how often she tightened the screws.
I also loved this one, but same as you I thought better safe than pretty
