Does anyone else have this? If so, has "pain management" worked or did you need to go for a Cortisone shot?
I've had terrible, terrible tailbone pain ever since I had DS last year. I finally saw a spine specialist/neurosurgeon today & was diagnosed w/Coccydynia. I have to make an appt. w/a "Spine Rehab Doctor" to try and manage the pain & I'm wondering if I can look forward to some relief!

I have it. It started when I was in my 1st trimester of pregnancy and DD is 16 months and it is still awful.
I haven't gone for any treatment. It is torture. I cringe everytime I have to stand up. I was hoping it would go away on its own, but no such luck.
I have coccyx cushions all over the house, but they don't really help. I may go for treatment after I'm done having kids.
Good luck! I hope you feel better soon.

Ugh - sorry to hear that you have it too - it's so painful I tried a doughnut pillow & it actually made it worse, so I stopped using it
I did the same thing...I kept waiting & waiting for it to go away, but DS will be a year old next week & it hasn't gotten any better so I thought it was time to see someone. We want to try for another DC soon & the thought of being pg like this frightens me, so I thought I'd try to fix it before then...We shall see, I guess...

Yes I had it. Definitely past 6 months PP I was still feeling pain. I am almost 11 months PP and much, much better now...but every so often I still feel some pain when I sit down and get up. I do remember telling the ob at my 6 wk appt and he said it could take up to a year to feel better.
