does anyone have pics of walls painted with stripes?
I am thinking of doing this is my master bedroom - and I was wondering if anyone had any pics?

i sure do but probably not what you are looking for. this is what the foyer looked like when we viewed the house. previous owner actually had tears in her eyes at the closing when she heard we were going to paint over the stars and stripes.

We saw a show where they painted a room with stripes. The stripes were the same color, but the sheen was different. Eggshell and semi-gloss. It look really nice. It wasn't drastic, but gave just a little hint of interest. I think I may do that in our living room. Not a whole lot of prep work, or effort involved. Just measuring and taping, same as contrasting stripes.

I'm not a fan of stripes, but I find that if you do wide stripes with two colors that are similar it can look nice:

oh that is a great idea - then I only have to paint one set of stripes in my room because I want to keep the color!!!

I don't have any pics saved, but if you go on thehome board at thenest.com, you will find lots of pics. I like the ones that are subtle - using different finishes of the same color.
