Does anyone have PMDD??
Ive was diagnosed with PMDD over 4 years ago and usually my symptoms start 2 weeks before AF.
Ive been holding out on taking my meds (even tho dr says its ok until u get pregnant) and im starting to get symptoms. Im in my 2WW and im wondering if this means im not Preg or would the same hormone flucuations that trigger PMDD be present if i conceived this month??
Any insight appreciated - TIA!

Thank you!!
Surpisingly i feel pretty good! I discussed using the meds with my dr and she said if i can stay off them while TTC its best but if im having a bad episode than take as needed.
Thanks again!!

Re: Does anyone have PMDD??
I was on PMDD meds for a brief stint years ago--when I was in college. I had pretty severe PMS and my gyno put me on Sarafem, but really I think my PMS was exacerbated by stress and not eating properly in my college years. I decided after college to take myself off it and start taking watching my diet more, taking vitamins (esp calcium), and exercising more and i have to say it helped my symptoms immensely. I still get PMS pretty bad some cycles, but it's never been as bad as it was before the meds. My symptoms usually start 2-3 days before period--not the whole 2 weeks before like it used to. HTH!
As for differentiating between PMDD symptoms and pregnany, I'm not really sure, but i do know that regular PMS symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms are basically the same for some people.
ETA: I should add, that a year or two after I went off Sarafem, I went on Yasmin, which is supposed to help with PMDD too. Now I'm obviously off of that too.
