All 3 have some amazing lease promotions going on at my current location but I've 1. never leased ever, and 2. never had a chevy. If you have one of the above do you like it? I think ideally, the blazer is probably the best fit for us. We don't need 3 rows, but it's alittle bigger than the equinox which I like. However, I LOVE the look of the traverse, and the lease offer is like $150 so I'm thinking why not.

I'm thinking about selling my Jeep Compass which I HATE because of the space issues with car seats and stuff. The current Jeep offers aren't worth it to me, though. So I was thinking of just keeping the cash from the sale and leasing something until I know I like it

Does anyone have the Chevy Blazer, Equinox or Traverse?

My dad has had two Traverses. Based on his experiences, I would not get a Traverse.

Growing up we had a lot of Chevys. I personally do not find them as reliable as other cars. I had a Malibu, which needed its rotors replaced several times over the course of the 4 years I owned it. Rotors are very expensive and it seems to be a known issue with the Malibu.

thanks for the info-

- the traverse right now is $139/month at my dealership 10k miles/year and $2499 down
- the equinox is only $69/month with 1995 down 10k miles/year
- the blazer is $111/month $1995 down 10k miles/year

So based on that, I'm debating working out 12k miles/year and no money down to see what they come back with. Those prices are insane starting numbers, and I feel like I can get an equinox in the low 100s with my terms! The lease term is only 24 months so i'm debating just going for it since it's just a short term

I leased an Equinox and LOVED it. When my lease was up, I switched to a Traverse and so far I'm loving that too. I've had a great experience with Chevy so far and would recommend either of those cars.

i hated the Equinox . Honestly, didn't care for Chevy in general but I couldn't wait to get out of my Equinox lease. I find the lower prices is only for the base model and it is VERY basic.

Have you talked to someone at the dealership already? I find that those advertised offers aren’t real...I leased a Chevy Cruze & ended up paying more than what was advertised. They said that price would be if you qualified for every discount including being in the military & stuff like that. I still talked them down to a reasonable price & didn’t put down as much as they wanted. Please update if you actually get that price!

no other discounts are applied, but that is with money down. $1995 down on equinox LT (so it's NOT the base model- a previous poster said many times they are, but this one is not) is $69/month, but if you do $995 down it jumps to $94. I'm estimating around $120/month if I pay $0 down. You need tier 1 credit though. I have that, so I'm thinking at most maybe $130/month if there are any other fees and such

Did you sit down & talk with them already? What they told me is that the advertised price is if you qualify for all these discounts, which I didn’t qualify for any of them. I ended up paying $229/month for a Cruze, $1500 down, extended it to 36 months & 10k miles. My credit is excellent as well. If it’s real, then that’s amazing!

When did you get your car? Was it during this specific sales event or something different? I'll keep you posted after Saturday :)

That advertising is just a way to get you in the door. I am very familiar with the car business and am confident you will not pay the prices they are advertising. Not trying to be negative but I've seen a lot of people go in thinking one thing and leave paying more or putting down more money than they wanted. Bring the advertisement into the dealership with you and make sure you read all the fine print. I hope you get the deal you're hoping for ! Keep us updated!

So that $69 posted rate for the equinox I am definitely not expecting to spend… I am however hoping to keep it around double that amount… But at the very worst, if it’s even 199 with 0 down and 12k/year, it is still way cheaper than other leases of SUVs in a similar size. Fingers crossed

I got it last December...it’s a 2018 & usually that time of year they’re trying to get rid of last years inventory. Plus I saw the same type of advertisement. I really talked them down too...I think the price started around $300...but I wasn’t budging...I kept trying to get it down to $200 lol...but settled at $229. Good luck & keep negotiating!

We have an Equinox no complaints. We also have a BMW X3 and my kids find the Equinox more comfortable with more room.

If you are complaining about space issues with the compass, I would not do the equinox. They are comparable size. I had a Saturn Vue and almost got a compass. That would have been a huge mistake. The Vue was too small already and the compass was comparable but it was a lot less money. Ultimately I went with a Durango and have zero regrets on that purchase. Love having all the extra space.

my cousin has the equinox and it's definitely not as small as the compass! My issue with the compass isn't the trunk space or anything like that. It was the rear-facing car seat issue. The space between the front and back seats is WAY too small, and my passenger seat has to be all the way up to make it fit. Her equinox fit her kids' car seats fine though... I am most concerned with that, because if we end up having a 2nd child in the next couple of years I want to be able to have that space available without having a passenger seat driver up against the glove compartment

update: It was a bust, many of you were right! It's the real deal IF you put the $1995 down, plus $950 bank fee, tax, title and registration, which will total like 4k down. Also must have another lease in the household (doesn't matter what brand the lease is with), 800+ credit score, and stick with 10k miles/year. If you can meet all criteria, it really is a low price per month.

I didn't want to put all that down on a lease, but as soon as you roll it in the whole deal is void. Lowest I got was like $300/month. Not worth it for me!

Bummer, but yeah I had a feeling there was a catch. And I forgot about all the other fees they surprise you with, the tax alone is almost $1000. I feel like once you get the first lease, then after that it’s so easy to get the next one...they do give good deals to turn it in early. It’s nice to get a new car every 3 years! But I agree that at first, it’s a lot out of pocket.

I had to put both seats up in the Vue to get our rear facing car seat in the car. It was that small. I'm unfortunately not referring to trunk space, I am talking about cabin space. My husband is 6'4" and I am 5'11" and we were extremely uncomfortable in that size vehicle with the rear facing car seat. When I looked at the equinox, I had a similar problem.
