Does anyone have the Louis Vuiton Neverfull GM? (VS the Montergueil PM)
If so, do you like it? Is it big? Does it look more like a work bag than a pocket book?
I was thinking of either this one or the Montorgueil PM when I finally am able to get my LV 
But since I am not in the position to buy a lot of high end bags, whichever one I finally buy will be IT.
I have been talking about getting an LV for 4 years now  (I knew someone who could get 40% off the bags but she flaked on me,) but I might be able to get one by the end of this year. I am doing my research.
So.... If I were to get one LV bag in my life, which one would you recommend? Also, if there is one that you think is better but more money than the above 2, please share. I am saving so if it means saving more for the perfect bag, I will do it. Thanks!

I was debating on getting the Neverfull GM, and ended up getting the Palermo GM, substantially more, but it's larger than the neverfull and I like the hardware aspect of it....I wear it as a tote..I like the fact that the neverfull is a bit more maleable...so thats the only thing I'm not loving about the Palermo..so I may just get the Neverfull too
Also, I use it as an everyday bag/diaper bag

I am planning to get the Neverfull GM as well...I have the Speedy 30, which is a tote, but I love on the shoulder bags. I wish I could get the denim hobo one...I LOVE that one!

I have the neverfull GM, I use it for a work bag only as it is really big. You could use it as an every day bag, but I don't.

Don't you always make fun of people with LV bags, and now you want one??
But to answer your question - the bags you mention that you mention are pretty different. I feel like Montorgueil PM is more of a purse/pocketbook and the Neverfull is more if a tote. I love the look of the Neverfull, but I hate that it has no zipper, just a small clasp.
You know how you use bags the best - I would go to store and check them out in person.

Keep in mind, Bloomingdales offers 20% off everything when you open a new charge account.
They do it 2 times a year march and november
So its possible to get that LV that never goes on sale for 20% off!!!

I have the neverfull GM and love it -- I actually purchased the PM, and then the returned it to get the MM, and then returned it again and got the GM....I use it as a work bag and an everyday bag...but I carry around a laptop most of the time, along with files.
One thing I will say is that it's a strong bag...but there are two flaws with it:
1) the zipper pocket inside makes the bag fold in a bit on one side whenever there's anything in it putting weight on it. It stinks b/c I like to put valuables in the zippered pocket, but the weight pulls the bag down on one side ruining the look and feel of it...
2) The inside clasp snapped off of mine - it literally ripped right at the seam. I'm sure LV can fix it, but I don't want to part with it.

ME???? NEVER!!!! When did I make fun of people with LV bags???? I have been posting how much I want one for years!!!!  
Next you'll be saying I make fun of people who wear MAC!
But even if I didn't like the style or the bag, I would never make fun of someone for having one. I can't imagine ever making fun of anyone for any type of style. Except maybe mini skirts with Uggs. (I personally don't like Uggs but would never make fun of someone for having them - I know a lot of people like them, but I wouldn't want them for myself).
I am starting to get a little  about people's perspectives of me on here

I bought the Neverfull GM and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!!! I love it so much so that I just ordered the Neverfull GM in the Damier canvas!
I literally use it everyday (I use it as a diaper bag too) and love taking it on vacation. It's literally "neverfull" and it can hold so much stuff. I know a lot of people don't like the fact that there is no zipper but I love the easy access, especially w/ two kids.

I still love my Montorgueil PM so much. The only thing I do not like is that if I do not put my cell phone in the inside pocket, it gets buried into the corner of the bottom of the bag.

i have the neverfull gm. dh bought it for me for christmas to use as a diaper bag. i would say its large for an everyday pocketbook but looking forward to using it for the baby. its large and very nice.

I have the MM and I love love love love it! It fits everything in there! My co-workers laugh at me bc when I orgnaize my bag at work I always pull out all sorts of toys and gadgets out of there!

I like the new Artsy - that may be my next LV. It looks like it fits as much as the Neverfull, but doesn't look as tote-y.

the neverfull is really big and depending how you use it there is no zipper. I ended up getting a popincourt which has a zipper but its much much smaller so it really depends on how you would use it.

I don't have either one, but I just looked them up. If I was getting I would choose the Montergueil PM. I feel the Neverful is just a really nice tote and if you are only planning on buying one classic bag the Montergueil seems more fit, in my opinion. Either way they are both beautiful and enjoy your purchase

I have the neverfull and I am in love w/ it -
I commute to the city every day and it's ginormous and holds everything -
the only think I'm not crazy about is the fact that there's no zipper -
I hide my wallet and the very bottom of the bag ..........

It's a moot point - no more credit cards for us 
Thanks ladies - I'm leaning towards the Montergueil... hopefully it still exists by the time I can afford it (low on the priority list - not by my standards kinda sorts have to consider bills, living, etc first. Damn!)

I believe they took away the employee discount for LV for bloomies employees, my friend is the PR manager at the one in white plains and she can do it for anything but LV
