Does anyone have their child in modeling?
I personally think every baby is cute, including mine! That being said, my DD gets alot of compliments and I have been encouraged by family and friends to submit her pictures to an agency. I don't know the first thing about children's modeling etc. Can anyone here give me any advice?
I sort of feel conflicted about following through. It would be great to see her in something and save it to show her when she's older. If she made any money it would be awesome to put in her college fund. However, I feel a little guilty because this is not something she is choosing for herself. Confused

Re: Does anyone have their child in modeling?
A lot of girls here do it, I was going to do it with my son but I decided in the end that I didn't want to run all around the region with my (gorgeous) son for (what I consider to be) not a lot of money. Also, I wanted to spend my maternity leave having fun and doing stuff with my friends and my son.
If you do a search on modeling, there is a list somewhere of agencies in the region that people here use.
Good Luck!

My son does it. It is a huge committment. I posted a list of the reputable agencies a while back. We are with Product. You can submit online for them. www.productmodelmgmt.com

Here is the list we used:
We chose Product too.

Click Models 212-206-1717, 129 W. 27th Street, New York, NY 10001
Ford Models 212-219-6150, Green Street, New York, NY 10012
Generation 212-727-7219, 20 W. 20th Street, New York, NY 10011
Product Model Management 212-563-6444, 240 W. 35th Street, New York, NY 10001
Wilhelmina 212-473-1253, 300 Park Avenue South, New York, NY 10010
If you live outside the tri-state area, you might contact the above agencies and ask if they have a satellite office near you, or consult your local Yellow Pages.
A word of caution: If you are contacting an agency that is not on our list, please be very careful to make sure the organization is a reputable one and that it does not give you false or misleading information. Don't hesitate to contact your local better business bureau with any concerns.

Re: Does anyone have their child in modeling?
For future reference, did it cost you anything to get started? Should I be concerned if an agency want me to pay for photos (porfolio)?

You should never pay!!!!!
For most agencies young children only require snapshots.
