Does anyone know...

At what point do you add the baby to your health ins....I mean I assume after the baby is born, but what about the care the baby gets in the Hospital and first Dr. appts?

Do you know I forgot from when I had GChat Icon

I know it was covered, I think I had 30 days from the day he was born to get the insurance company his SS# & Birth Certificate for them to incude him retroactively.

Call your Ins to be sure though...they may not all be the same.Chat Icon

Re: Does anyone know...

With our insurnace carrier, we have a certain amt. of time from birth (31 days) to add the baby to the policy and coverage will be retro-active to the day of birth.

The birth of a child is considered a Life Event and allows you to make a change to your existing benefits within THIRTY days of the event. Be very careful to stay within that window because if you miss it most times you're sh*t out of luck! Chat Icon
