I had a fibrioid adenoma... I can tell you about that.
I had one of those as well....a non-cancerous lump that had to be removed. It was no biggie, very common

exactly- it is techinically a benign tumor because it is solid in the center and not liquid. The doctor said I could live with it but had to monitor it- I just had it removed.

I saw my internist and she has recommended me see a urologist. What doctor did you guys see when you were diagnosed?

i had a rather large fibroid removed in march. i was having lower abdominal pain and my gyn sent me for a pelvic sonogram and there it was! i kinda left it alone for while and then went fotr another pelvic sonogram a year later because the pain was much worse and it turned out that it grew larger. so i scheduled the surgery to have it removed, my gyn did the surgery. it was so large that the couldn't do it laporscopically (through my belly button) so they had to give me a 6 inch c-section cut to remove it. i'm glad i got the surgery, i feel so much better now.

Since mine was in my breast- I saw a breast specialist in St. Vincents Cancer center. Even though it turned out to be benign, she was the one I was told to go see. I would follow up with the urologist.

Mine to was in my breast - i found it when I was 17 years old. It was the first time that i went to a gyno and he reassured that there was something there, he then sent me to a breast specialist in Huntington, I have been getting check every December 23 (the anniversary of my operation).
