Does anyone know anything about IN PATIENT alcohol treatment facilities
That will take someone for longer than 2 weeks and do not cost a fortune or that insurance will cover? Also do those place treat people who have manic depression???
My bf's mom is at it again and her body is starting to shut down from all the alcohol

Re: Does anyone know anything about IN PATIENT alcohol treatment facilities
I worked at an inpatient alcohol facility at st charles- it was 28 days and covered by insurance. Usually programs for people with substance abuse and mental health issues are differnt- called dual diagnosis programs.
I would reccomend calling her insurance and finding out what facilities are on par- which ones accept their insurance. Then call all of those to see how long their waiting list is.
Good luck.

Holliswood Hospital provides in patient drug & alcohol treatment as well as other pschiatric conditions. It's a in a super quiet location, the staff is kind.
I know they do have patients there for long term but I do not know the criteria. They accept insurance but other then oxford, I don't know which.

Re: Does anyone know anything about IN PATIENT alcohol treatment facilities
Thank you all for the suggestions. I will pass these on to her and have her call around. It's just so sad. She almost lost her life to this and was doing so well for so long and now she is 'off the wagon' and her body can't even handle it anymore. My poor BF called me last night and just cried. It's just awful.
Thank you all again

You might be talking about Arms Acres. They should take insurance for 28 days (as should many in-patient programs).
You should find out from her insurance company first what they will and will not cover. There are many excellent treatment centers, and it might be better for her to go to one upstate or in another state...
Good luck and I'm sorry you're going through this.

Re: Does anyone know anything about IN PATIENT alcohol treatment facilities
Thank you all again I just spoke to my best friend again, and she is even more upset because her mom was able to hide it so well this time and my best friend has been letting her watch her kids again but hasn't had to in the last two weeks. It's so sad. I will pass all recommendations to her.
