Does anyone know of a company that would....

cut a granite countertop? I am getting a display piece countertop and cabinets from a showroom and I can't use the countertop as is. I need a sink hole cut into it, a piece cut out for the stove and that that piece needs to be moved to the other end and attached with a seem. I have searche the other granite threads and I called a bunch of the places recommended but no one wants to touch it. Help please

You need to look for a granite fabricator and not a granite store.

we used granite emporium in farmingdale - they are a store and fabricator, im not sure if they will cut something you give them, but you can give them a shot.

Does a granite store use a granite fabricator to cut their stones? Oh gosh this is getting confusing.

some do, some dont. the stores that I went into fabricated themselves. if you go to a wholesaler, you have to find a fabricator.

for instance, I went into a store. If i didnt like the stock they had, i could go to a wholesaler. the store would buy from the wholesaler for me.

I think the "bigger" tile stores (cancos, porcelanosa, etc) don't fabricate themselves, because they were more expensive than the stores that did the fabrication on site.
