Does anyone know of any decent hotels/motels in the Chester, Sugarloaf mountain, Goshen area??
I need a place thats affordable but decent for Columbus Day Weekend. Anyone know any??

this is what they recommend on the Sugar Loaf chamber of commerce
there are a ton of hotels off of route 17 going towards Middletown, around exit 124...they are basically all clustered together along with a few chain restaurants.
all of the areas you mentioned are fairly close to each other. Warwick is really nice this time of year, as it's apple picking season. there is a great winery there as well.

My house 
NO but really there is a hampton inn in MIddletown, and I believe a comfort suites in Goshen which are nice. I would stay away from motelish type places their kinda funky around here.

Thanks ladies.
We booked the microtel for a really good price for the night.
The Chester Motel used to be BEAUTIFUL!! Such a shame its gone.
Ophelia, I was on that sugarloaf page forever before booking and I couldnt find that link! I booked in the meanwhile..but am DEFINATELY thinking about a long weekend in the winter at one of those great places! I can't wait!
I LOVE that area and its DEFINATELY where I would choose to move to if I were headed upstate.

Noreen if you have time defintely check out the Barnsider, they have really good food, especially if you like french onion soup.

We go to the Barnsider EVERY time we go to sugar loaf!!!!!!!! Love it there! One of my favorite places ever!!!! Thanks!
