Does anyone know of any room rentals in Suffolk for a single mom and her 2 kids?
She can only afford $450-500/month...

I'm not sure she'llfind anything for $500 a month
Can she the county to help with the costs?
Seems with two kids she should qualify for some housing/financial aid

Oh god my heart is breaking right now.. The situation seems all to familiar... I would open my home if it wasnt so small .... I pray that she finds something.. I'm guessing there is no friends or family fo rthe time being..???

Has she applied for Section 8?

ETA, just read thru it, doesn't seem like they're accepting new applications because they're tapped like everyone else...but there has to be some sort of gov't assistance?????

Thanks everyone. I've passed along a bunch of craigslist studios for her to look at. Most are in the $800-1000 price range but I sent them to her anyway.

She should maybe contact Social Services for emergency help.
