Re: Does anyone know the temperature in Italy in October?
I have! I was all over Italy.. It was many years ago but in my pics I am never wearing a jacket.. I was in pants and light sweaters or long sleeve shirts all day and all night. I remember it being like early fall weather.. very comfortable.

Re: Does anyone know the temperature in Italy in October?
Any country on the same side of the equator as us, has the same weather. So Italy is on the same side of the equator so it would be fall weather in Oct. there too. All the countries on the opp. side of the equator have opp. seasons. If it's Fall here it would be Spring in Brazil!. Just thought I'd let you know!

Re: Does anyone know the temperature in Italy in October?
Sweaters and jeans sound right...it doesn't get AS cold as us here...but chilly it will be!
I was there in August and believe it or not I was in sweaters at night!

Re: Does anyone know the temperature in Italy in October?
We just went last year Oct 3rd-15th
and let me tell you...a SWEATER was the LAST thing you would want to have with you....
The entire time there was WARM. 75-80
It was cool in the mornings..to the point you would need a LIGHT sweter or jacket....But that lasted till about 9 am .
And it was the same from Northern Italy to Southern...
NO sweater at that time....You would die!

Re: Does anyone know the temperature in Italy in October?
My DH lived in Italy for 7 years....when we were planning our trip there he insisted on only two months: late April/early May
OR
early October.
He says those are nicest times to visit Italy.

Re: Does anyone know the temperature in Italy in October?
Ah nuts I dont know how to pack now we are going oct 13 to 22 on a cruise we will be in rome, sorrento, florence, another stop in italy cant remember where, then we go to ( dont know the order) barcelona, st topez, the island of menarca and then to monte carlo but we will be in italy for 2 days before we leave on the cruise in rome to sight see, so Im guessing jeans and maybe bring some light sweaters, the excursions said no tank, shorts or skirts above the knee for the churches. Im a lil nervous about touring Rome on our own, how was it? do you need a guide book? and can you get a taxi pretty fast?
