does anyone know what a "charger for an x-box" would be?
We got our letter from NY Cares.
Unfortunately it was written by a child I think in second grade. (The kid only wrote "I am in nd grade" and wrote the letter to "Santa" so I assume from that and the handwriting 2nd grade...)
The only thing the kid asked for was a "charger for an x-box."
This has me on a few levels - does the kid actually have an x-box? What is this charger thing? etc...
I think I will get the child other gifts instead because I do worry whether or not he actually has an x-box and what he's talking about... However, I figured I'd at least try to figure out what one was before writing it off entirely.
On another note -- they really should include a typewritten sheet with these lettes that tells you the child's age, gender, etc. Mine has the child's name written out but no other information. I will have to call the contact listed to get more information. The child's name could either be for a boy or a girl and he or she asked for a "generic" (not gender-specific gift)...

Hmmm, my DH has an xbox 360 and I know that the controllers can be used with regular batteries or with a charging kit - they sell it separately (I just saw that Costco.com has them for cheaper than places like Best BUy and Circuit City). So I assume it's that charging kit - not sure anything else needs charging on the Xbox 360.

I dont know what an xbox charger is, all I could think of it would be a power cord.
Our letter had the sex, age and grade on it. Maybe it depends on what organization submitted the letter.

Maybe that's it. All we had was a sticker with the kid's name and the address. It also included a contact person for quetions. Gender, age, and grade would have been really helpful! I looked all over for it.
I have to say, though, the letter was soooo cute. The child drew a Christmas tree and a giant heart that said "I love you Santa" in the middle.

That's cute. Our letter was a photocopy of a form letter.

It's probably the charger for the batteries for the wireless controllers. Maybe buy that and some extra batteries.
