Does anyone know what they are called?
An aunt of mine got my cousin a (I believe) Precious Moments train set that marks their birthday.
So on her first birthday, the train caboose said "1", and then on her second "2" - etc...until she turned "18."
Does anyone know if they still make these, and are they precious moments?

I know Precious moments has one but I think it goes to 12 or 13. It is very cute...there is a different animal for each year.

I know what you are referring to and I beleive you can purchase them in Hallmark stores.
I googled "Precious Moments Birthday Train" and a few sites came up. I can't post links on LIF while I'm at work, otherwise I would. One site I found was:
