does anyone know why at 25-26 weeks so many say they feel less movement?
i'm right at that point and for the past few days i've felt very little movement..I'll get a little jab here and there, but its just like one jab and then it stops... whereas before i'd feel a few and actually feel it moving around my belly.
I know it seems to be common for so many so i'm not going to freak out about it, but does anyone know why this happens?

I never heard of this....I have heard that movement slows at the end of pregnancy b/c the baby runs out of room. At weeks 25/26 my little one was very active. Try eating chocolate or drinking OJ and if you still don't feel a lot of movement I would call your Dr.

I noticed less movement around that time. I went to L&D and of course the baby started moving around like crazy once I was hooked up to the monitor. I wouldnt be too worried, but if you do feel anxious, I would call your Dr. Better to be safe...

IDK, mine is very active at 26 weeks?! At the sono last night the Dr. said he still has lots of room to move around and change positions.

I believe that at that time the baby is starting to learn sleeping patterns.
I think I read that in the week by week pregnancy book.
If I knew where mine was I would look it up for you.

I personally think its bc they have more room in there...my little boy still moves around a lot, but not as much as he used to...I've been experiencing some growth spurts and now I have definitely popped and I think he has more room now.

I had days of not much movement around this time as well... I went to the Doctor and she advised majority of ppl do not have "regular" movement until 30-31 weeks.....

I am 25 weeks and I dont feel movement all day long but get spurts of movement. Especially when my bladder is full. Its like a magnet for her legs. It all depends on your baby-I too read that they are developing their sleep patterns.

Re: does anyone know why at 25-26 weeks so many say they feel less movement?
i called the dr. this morning at 9-as soon as they opened. THey asked if i had breakfast and OJ and i said yes, then they said-did you have a chocolate bar, so i said no-it was 9am ... so..for the first time probably in my life i wasn't in the mood for chocolate but i managed to eat a whole snickers bar. Sure enough he started kicking within 5 minutes!!
Its still not as much movement as i had but the nurse said it could be the way he's positioned or maybe he's sleeping a lot?
But i feel much better..thank you all for your info
