I wouldn't. My DS falls into the middle of the boppy sometimes. I don't leave him unattended in the boppy at all.

Re: Does anyone let their infant
I think you're right about not letting him sleep in the boppy. I just was curious. I watch him on the video monitgor when he's sleeping on it. WHen I go to bed I take him out and BOOM he's up.

Re: Does anyone let their infant
yes but hes older..hes 7 and 1/2 months now and he sleeps with a mini boppy ( came with a toy mat thing)...He can easily pick it up and throw it when hes having a fit, so I know he can move it if need be.

Re: Does anyone let their infant
not on a pillow, but i do have her on a wedge that goes under her sheet. it puts her on an incline, she slides down it alot, but she seems to enjoy having her head higher than the rest of her body

I wouldn't Gavin is a wiggler and he slides right down on it and sometimes plants his whiole face right into it.
I watch him like a hawk when he's on it on his tummy....

Re: Does anyone let their infant
that is how DD used to fall asleep in the middle of the boppy then I would transfer her to the crib but when she woke up in the middle of the night I would put her in the middle between dh and I in the boppy I felt safer with it in the bed with us because Ifelt if I rolled over or dh rolled over it wouldnt be on top of DD

Re: Does anyone let their infant
I would let her nap in her boppy with me sitting right next to her but never sleep in the crib with it.
There is a wedge that goes under the crib mattress to elevate a side. I would use that if the elevation is necessary.

Re: Does anyone let their infant
No I wouldn't use it for sleep. Pillows are a SIDS risk for sleeping babies.
You can put something under his mattress or sheet if you really think he needs elevation--a lot of people do that for reflux.

How cute is this???? Aw!
RE: the boppy or pillow, I would never be comfortable with that when they were small. Even if they were most comfortable and slept best with one, God forbid something happen, I would never forgive myself bc I know that it's dangerous and did it anyway.

Re: Does anyone let their infant
Don't mean to crash the board but I felt it was important to comment. One of my friends had a baby boy, and at 4 months old he died. The grandmother that was watching him propped his head up on a pillow for him to sleep. Well, he moved, and his head fell back and he suffocated. It was the most heartbreaking tragedy.I'm not that familiar with boppys (my nephew doesn't have one), but I say better safe than sorry.

Re: Does anyone let their infant
my daughter slept on boppy for first 2 months day and night, she used to spit up and throw up a lot and couldn't sleep on her back , but she would fall asleep on a boppy in a sec. and sleep through the night and take 2-3 hour naps, (I didn't want her to sleep on her tummy), but before I started puting her on a boppy I spoke to her ped and he said it was ok, we have the le'cuddler, you can strap the baby in it so she doesn't slide down or move up, around 2 1/2 months she just started sleeping on her back w no problem.
