Does anyone live all the way out east?
We will be moving to Riverhead, in a community up on the Long Island Sound. I will need to find a hair dresser, a vet, a dog groomer, and someone who sits for dogs in their home. I can drive about half and hour. Do you have any recommendations?

I live at exit 68 LIE.. I take my pets to the Center Moriches Veterinary Hospital and they are great there. From Riverhead I would think the drive would be no longer than a half hour.
As for everything else.. Im not sure.. good luck!!

There is a place called Hollywood Salon in RockyPoint -- they are good. I haven't been in a few years but they were good when I went there.

I am at Exit 68 as well on the LIE.
I would also recommend the vet in Center Moriches, there is another in Speonk as well that is good.
I have a dog sitter I can recommend that lives in Riverhed. I will FM you here details, but you have to book her in advance.

Robert James salon in Riverhead town.
Miller Place Animal Hospital in Miller Place.
There's a groomer in Rocky Point, on the corner of RP Road and 25a,in the KFC shopping center but I can't remember the name.
These are within 30 minutes from Riverhead.

I live in Ridge - 10 mins or so from Riverhead. The only thing I can offer is my vet if you are interested. He's really nice and it's a mobile unit - I think he goes out to Riverhead. He used to have a practice in Middle Island but he was going to retire -he's older - but decided to go mobile instead. It's great with the cats b/c one is a terrible traveller.
Anyway, we really like him.

Is this the same one I am thinking more like Miller Place? It's on the border of both towns...
