I make orzo. I'm not sure how you make it, but ...

I mix mine with beef bullion cubes and butter.

I brown a little onion, add chicken broth, water and tomato sauce or sometimes crushed tomatoes, seasonings and let it boil. Butter is not allowed so we use olive oil instead.

My BIL makes it with Parmegean cheese and fresh basil (chopped fine), and little bit of olive oil ... it's delicious!

This sounds good. Do you add water to it or just the dry cubes?

3-4 scallions-sliced
1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
1/3 c basil- julienned
1/3 cup olive oil

1 cup black olives pitted & halved..

Toast orzo in a little olive oil in a pan. Then add to 4/-5 cups of boiling water seasoned w/salt. Cook orzo for about 10-12 minutes. Drain w/cold water and put on a towel to absorb water.

Just the cubes. They dissolve in the hot orzo!
