I had a diaper champ. threw it out. I hated "collecting" dirty diapers, and it smelled no matter what. We used our kitchen garbage and took it out to the cans 2x a day. It worked for us.

I actually liked the diaper champ. (I know, I am the only one!) We still had to empty it every day, but at least the pail was right there in his room where we changed him so we werent carrying dirty diapers around. I do think it kept the smell more to a minimum than a regular open pail and I didn't want our kitchen where we ate and cooked to smell like poo.

I have the Diaper Genie II and I think it's less smelly than the original. I can go for a week without emptying it out. We don't need to take out garbage everyday, so it's great for us!

I think they're great until the babies start eating "real people food" --
Since that point, the Diaper Genie has lived outside and the poopy diapers go in a diaper bag (the small scented ones), knotted, in the garbage can, and taken out twice a day.

I have the Diaper Dekor. Works great for me.
But I only put wet diapers in it, dirty ones go in those scented blue bags and in the kitchen garbage which is taken out prob 2x a day.

Unless you live in an apt and can't throw the poopies outside each time, I can't see getting it. The thought of keeping the poop inside grosses me out!

i have the diaper champ and i'm still using it at 15 months. i'm too lazy to take the diapers out to the trash can every time!

I like the diaper champ too.
It's easy to use, no smell yet and the dog can't get into it.
We empty it on Mondays and Thursdays when the garbage comes.

I have a regular diaper pail- but it has a place to put a sanatizer at the top to keep it fresh smelling.
I empty it once a day and its been great.

Me too. We just use those powder scented bags from BRU and wrap them up and take them out with the daily trash.

Same here, though I actually take the poop bag & throw it outside right away. Can't stand the though of stinky poop in my house.

Same here, regular garbage pail with two stickups on the lid downstairs ny the changing table and a smaller version in the nursery upstairs.
It gets emptied once a day or when either makes an "atomic poo-poo".

I heard so many people that hated theirs, but we love the diaper champ. I empty it every other day, no odor smells yet.

I agree...I love the diaper champ. It only smells when I empty it! I am not one to carry around poop in my hands if I don't have to AND um....I think I'd never eat a single thing in my kitchen if I threw it out in there!
