-what do they cahrge?

-----------------------------------------

(and nailtiques is not something i have time for)

im not talking about a fill in or wraps or anything of the sort - just a gel manicure

I get gel manicures. I like the way they look, they last almost 3 weeks most of the time and it costs $50 for the initial full set and $26 every time I go for a fill in.

Re: Does anyone regularly get GEL MANICURES

I just had gel manicures put on two weeks ago, after wearing wraps (acrylics) for over 10 years.

So far:

- they're lighter (weight)
- fillings are 3 weeks, instead of every 2 weeks
- nail polish doesn't chip b/c there is no nail polish
- look cleaner/healthier

Re: Does anyone regularly get GEL MANICURES

you guys are referring to gel wraps - with a uv light

im talking about something that is one step higher than an regular manicure

they brush glue gel on your nail, then polish - no buffing or aything. it goes right on your natural nail.

gel manicures require no fill ins

its just a manicure with gel

oopsie...I got the gel/UV tips last week, but I've had regular gel manicures in the past...I personally didn't think it made a difference...it was more like "glue" than gel...but then I guess it is gel.

okay lemme shutup b/c i'm confusing my self...and not making any sense!

I'm talking about gel manicure. It's called a fill in. They put the gel and some powder onto your nails or tips if you need them. I don't get the UV gel manicures.

As it grows out from the nail bed you will need a fill in.

no this doesnt require fill in

they brish gel on your nail - like thick glue- and thats it

its different

its NOT a fill in though - its a thin thin brushing of glue on your nail

its very confusing defining this so ill stop now! lol

Re: Does anyone regularly get GEL MANICURES

I know what you are talking about- it's usually betwen $10 and $13

I know someone who used to get it done- it lasts about a week to 10 days

it looks nice- the nail polish doesn't chip- but it almost wears off

I just took my forever french nails off- and they are a mess- so I know what you are going thru- but I think it's better for your nails to breath for a little while and grow back- just keep them short- b/c they are going to break

Re: Does anyone regularly get GEL MANICURES

If you put glue on your nails, regadless how thin, eventually you would have to care for them similar to tips or wraps. The glue is just as bad for your nails as the other stuff, but it is thinner. It is usually only a couple dollars more than a fillin - we actually do not do too many of these anymore.
You could have them put any type of glue on your nails - it does not need to be gel.
ps the uv gel nails are gorgeous!!
fm me if you have any questions
