Does anyone see Dr. Gould? (ped. neurologist)

He's a Ped Neurologist. I just saw a Ped Ortho this morning who has left me feeling defeated. I am hoping a neuro could answer my questions. Dr. Gould doesn't have the best reviews online but he was recommended to me by several people who have used him. I really just want the best Dr.

We see him and love him. I had a horrible experience at LIJ and my pediatrician suggested I see him instead. I also work for another ped and she refers to him as well. He's smart and nice and non alarmist.

Re: Does anyone see Dr. Gould? (ped. neurologist)

Thank you. I'll call this week and make an appointment. I had a terrible appointment with an orthopedic on Thursday. He was rude & dismissive. He had no answers about my son's condition so he shut me down. He was done with me & my questions. Our apt was done. I hope I can get some answers through a neurologist. My Ped & I thought it was mainly a skeletal issue but could also be a muscular/ nerve issue.

Im concerned that my daughter has executive functioning deficits and also some emotional issues as well. She is an outgoing, intense, very bright 8 yrs old and just started 3rd grade. Teacher, school psych no help when I stated concerns, specifically regarding her difficulties with following limits set at home, impulsivity, etc. I don't know where to start. Should she see a behavioral specialist, have a neurological assessment done, a psych assessment done. I would appreciate any recommendations. I just want to get help to become less impulsive, more organized, more mindful and understand that she has to follow our rules at home (which aren't too strict) without the ongoing full blown outbursts.... I was looking into a 2E consult but I don't know if shes appropriate, teacher didn't really seem too receptive to the idea...
