Does anyone watch How I Met Your Mother? (IF, not celeb, related - SPOILERS)
On HIMYM, Lily and Marshall are trying to have a baby and are having some difficulty. Part of me can't deal with watching it, and the other half keeps cracking up. Marshall was just in the doctor's office to make a "donation", and I was dying watching him picture the other guys who were in there.

Yeah. I'm watching it now. I was cracking up when the Doctor asks them how long they've been trying and they say forever (i.e. 6 days)!!!
But, on the other hand it's kinda like a punch in the gut at the same time.

OMG..my father is in the hospital right now, for something non-heart related, but before this illness, he was scheduled to go for a pacemaker on the 12th, the same day I'm scheduled for my beta. He had a mild heart attack a couple of months ago, and I have been so scared of something happening to him at the same time that I become pregnant. This episode killed me.

 Thinking of you. Oh lord, I can't even imagine. This episode killed me too. I'm still crying. DH is attributing it to my hormones (almost a week of stims). Hope your dad is ok.

I have been following the show for a season or two...I want to get pregnant before Lily so bad! I know its silly but each episode when I find out she's not pregnant yet, it makes me feel better about my situation. DH laughs...but I really want to be knocked up before her

I hear you on that one. I'm going to be so ****** if she gets PG before me! Although as soon as they hinted at fertility issues earlier in the season, I said to DH, "you know this all going to be wrapped up nice and neat with her PG by the end of the season."

Well... you never know... look what they ended up doing on Friends w/ Monica & Chandler.

i agree- i want to be pg before her
it has actually made the show more difficult to watch for me....
also the dad passing away was just unexpected and terible angle for the show. they need to stick with comedy and light dramam - not heavy situations like the passing of his dad
