Does carpet need to air out?
I can't remember if it smells when it's first laid down. I'm concerned because it will be in the babies room.

Re: Does carpet need to air out?
Yeah it usually has a 'new carpet' smell. If you open the windows for a few days it should help.

i vaccummed ours too and it helped move the "new" smell along....i've heard you can throw some baking soda down and vaccumm it up within 5 minutes to absorb some of the smell, too!

YOu shouldn't be in the house when they lay the carpet if you are preggo. I forget why, but my doctor told me that when I was preggo. I stayed at my moms for the day and slept over there to be extra cautious.
