Does/Did a anyone use the Kirkland powder formula or the Walmart Brand?
My BF is using the Kirkland brand from Costo. It is only $20 for 2 big canisters. I remember paying $25 a can for Good Start for Ava.
Does anyone use either one? Do you think they are comparable to the name brands??

ok i reserached this a LOT!!!
Kirkland brand is close to enfamil but not exactly the same...maybe 95% the same so i ddint get it...however....walmart AKA PARENTS CHOICE is exactly the same as ENFAMIL...every amt f every ingredient is the same...i bought a can and im gonna talk to my ped...they are all regulated by the FDA...
walmart can was 11.99 instead of 27...insanely cheaper....

Walmart's and Target's generics have the exact same ingredient breakdown as Enfamil.

the sam's club brand does too. You'd think it would be the same as walmarts but it has a different name. probably the same manufacturer though.

We use Walmart's Parents Choice brand of both the regular formula and the gentle formula...DS is obviously growingly healthy...I have even gone back and forth between Enfamil brands and the Parent Choice brand with no issues.
Things are tight for us right now and I just couldnt see spending twice as much when it was exactly the same thing.

I use Target.
I'm in the food industry and if I tell you that the main difference between most products is simply the label, would you believe me? It's true...

I recently switched to the Kirkland formula from Similac. My son has no issues with it. My pediatrician says they are all fine it is a matter of personal choice.

I switch between Target, Walmart and Sam's. Sams is the best deal...a 52.5 ounce can of powder for $ 19.99. I don't go in there too often, but when I do, I pick it up.

I used the Target brand of Gentlease.
I love it, I just can't stand when the Target in Medford runs out

I seriously have considered the Wal-Mart brand, and on their website you can see breakdowns of each of the vitamins/minearls in theirs compared to Similac, Enfamil, etc.
We haven't switched yet though.

Re: Does/Did a anyone use the Kirkland powder formula or the Walmart Brand?
Does anyone know why Formula is so expensive?? I am completely intrigued as to this issue!
Here in the UK we pay about £6 for a big can of formula (thats about $12) I can't for the life of me comprehend why its so expensive!! And our doctors offices often sell it cheaper (without tax) I just don't get it...
Someone do the research into this for me please!!!

It is so expensive because it is put out by the leading pharmaceutical companies.
Just like non-generic medications, they make huge profits by increasing the price due to the lack of competition out there (actually, there is some competition but the few drug companies band together in an oligopoly and artifically control the price of the formula).
Same reasons why some meds in the US are but the same med is so much less in Canada.
Racheeee, the profit on the formula sold in the UK is much less due to your system of socialized medicine. I'm sure they are still making a profit at 6 pounds a can, it's just that the margain of profit is limited. It's probably the same way in Canada... actually most likely the same way in every other Western, industrialized country in the world, as we are the only one w/o socialized medicine.

Re: Does/Did a anyone use the Kirkland powder formula or the Walmart Brand?
I'm using a local supermarkets brand and I compared the ingredients and breakdown...same as Enfamil and has more DHA/ARA than Similacs' isomil!!!
Plus it's at least $10 cheaper than the name brands.
