Does it hurt when your feet get swollen?
I know it's a silly question but I'm curious. I've never had swollen feet so I have no clue.
When should I expect this new symptom?
I can't take any more pregnancy symptoms!

Re: Does it hurt when your feet get swollen?
well, hurt hurt? no..... but it IS annoying.
Thankfully, Scone is an early fall baby... I can only wear flip flops. my feet literally don't fit into anything other than cheap target flip flops , and haven't for over a month. Scone dropped around 35 weeks, and ever since then, I have super-swollen feet, ankles, and calves.
I think the edema may actually increase fatigue... or at least it comes simultaneously with increased fatigue.
Also, you become obsessed with ways to not make your feet explode. if they get super bad, you actually feel your skin tightening... which is mildly uncomfy.

Exactly what she said. I hope October is warm or else my flip flop clad feet will be mighty cold!

Re: Does it hurt when your feet get swollen?
I'm with the PPs. I'm only 21 weeks, and it has set in. I had to buy DOUBLE WIDES this weekend, , and i can't even say they're comfortable. Flip flops are my best friend, and I'll be wearing them with socks soon! Although, I will say, they give no support, so that leads to back aches.
When they get really huge, you can feel the skin tightening, and that is uncomfortable. otherwise, it is just ugly and something else to obsess over.

My feet didn't swell until after I had DD. It didn't hurt, but looked quite funny with those huge fat ankles or as DH called them: cankles

Re: Does it hurt when your feet get swollen?
Mine were so swollen towards the end of my pregnancy that I actually had to stop working because I had trouble driving with them. My doctor called them "moon boots". They were big. They never hurt though...just felt really really gross. really gross. like there was a bag of gel stuck under my skin....sometimes I could feel it moving around. No pain though.
And I was also lucky enough to hold onto to the swelling after pregnancy as well....my feet are only now returning to normal....almost 16 months later!
