Does lavender oil really work?
If so how? And how do you use it?

Re: Does lavender oil really work?
Hard to say really. When DD had colic, I used to use lavender bath wash and body lotion for her. I also used to take lavender potpourri and put it in the vacuum bag when I vacuumed. I have a spray and I used to spray her room and over her sheets. She was cranky all the time so it's hard to tell if it helped.

Lavender is used for relaxing purposes.
I would not overuse it.
ETA: bath, cream/oil are common use of it.

Only English Lavender is relaxing. If you buy essential oils make sure it is the relaxing type (my inlaws sell it if you need some I can get it for you - they have a lavender farm).

I use the J & J nighttime lotion only at night. I rub a fingertip amount on his chest and belly. Not sure if it makes a difference or not though.
