Does progesterone Suppositories make you gain weight???
Maybe I am just reaching for any answer to why I have gained sooooo much weight already! I'm embarassed to admit I am up 6lbs at only 8 weeks.
I am a little over 8 weeks and up about 6lbs. I have been on progesteron for about 6 weeks and when i would take it previous months during the 2ww i noticed some weight gain and then it would disapper once I stopped taking it when AF arrived.
Now that I have been on it through out this pregnacy i have gone up a bra size, so bloated and up 6 lbs. I don't think I am eating any differently since getting my BFP, I actually feel like I eat less, just more carbs.
Is this normal with progesterone???? Or am I just gaining a ridiculous amount of weight already, and going to be a BIG OLD PREGGO LADY!!!

I take Prometrium pills so they're not suppositories, but my doctor said that Progesterone does cause weight gain. I know how you feel!

I'm glad I'm not alone.
I have mentioned it to a few people and they made me feel worse. "that you really shouldn't gain weight in the 1st trimester unless you are eating too much". Gee, Thanks!
I haven't changed my eating habits at all...so i assume it must be the progesterone.

I am going to have to give into the Bella Band soon!! All I wear our loose skirts and dresses since there is more room for give for my belly. My pants I can't even wear, they are so uncomfortable. lol
I am hoping it will go away once we stop the progesterone.

I lost weight but that was because I was sick. My bra size went from 36d to 36e in 3 weeks time though.

That's part of my prob. I was a D cup now a DD....Afraid these things are going to get gigantic.

Sorry to say, no. I definitely felt less bloated but those pounds stayed with me.

I'm on progesterone and I feel like a baloon  It takes me so long ot get dressed in the morning because I can never figure out what to wear! I've been rotating between juicy sweatsuits (since they have the elastic band) and leggings all week....... I miss my skinny jeans!!!
