Does Red Velvet cake/ cupcakes need to be refrigerated?
I am making the cupcakes for a bbq today but we'll be in the car for about an hour & a half. Will the frosting melt?
Also, do you put any type of sprinkles or toppings on it?

I would put them in an insulated cooler with some ice packs. They won't go bad, it's just that in the heat they could wilt a bit.
