I've never hosted a party where we didn't cook or just serve drinksChat Icon

The party is probably going to be around 2ish or so and we will have about 30 people on a Saturday afternoon.

Does this sound good?

3 ft Italian Hero
Full tray toss salad
full tray baked ziti
half tray chicken parmigiana
half tray eggplant parmigina
garlic knots.

Too italian? Any suggestions?Chat Icon

sounds good... The only thing I might suggest is maybe getting a 6 foot hero.

that sounds good for the adults but if there are any kids that will be there i'd add something like macoroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, or something else that is kid friendly.
Also maybe make the hero 1/2 italian 1/2 american

I think it sounds good. I wouldn't get a 6 foot hero..that's huge and with all that other food, people probably won't eat a ton ya know? Maybe do pizza for the older kiddos.

I still haven't decided on anything other than a hero Chat Icon

I'd say a 6ft would be better. Also, incorporate some kiddie finger foods like chicken fingers or nuggets, mozzarella sticks, a pasta salad.

There aren't really any kids...babies yes, and three kids who are 7,9 and 11. And the 7 and 11 year old eat the italian food all the time.

How do you keep things like mozz sticks and chicken fingers from getting gross on the sternos?

When we are expecting kids we usualy get a 1/2 tray of chicken fingers and 1/2 tray of fries.

My only suggestion is not to get two "parms" - maybe get a chicken marsala and an eggplant parm OR a chicken parm with eggplant rollatini. Something like that
