Does this sound like pinkeye or just a cold updated in first post
When Noah woke up this morning he had a crusty eye (not too much, but enough crust for me to noice) so at lunchtime I noticed that both of his eyes were a bit watery and had some yellow goop coming out of the ducts and in his eyes.
He does have a bit of a cold...just a runny nose and the usual cough.
What do you think??
UPDATE:
We went to see the out of hours surgery and the GP there confirmed that Noah has bacterial conjunctivitis. Just keep him away from other kids for 3-4 days. I am going to take the time to spend some time shopping and doing stuff outside! And yes, I will still bring him into shops. As long as he isn't physically in contact with anyone, we should be fine.

It sounds like it could be the start of pink eye, but another way you can check is if you pull the bottom part of the eye (the skin) down and if the eye ball is red them most likely it is. Atleast that's what my dr told me because my little guy use to get it all the time because he had clog tear ducks when he was born. I hope he's feeling better soon.

It sounds like it could be the start of pink eye, but another way you can check is if you pull the bottom part of the eye (the skin) down and if the eye ball is red them most likely it is. sometimes that can also be a sign of an ear infection. I would take him to the Dr. Hope he's okay

thats what happens to my ds with ear infections...the body is trying to drain the fluid any way it can

Sounds like the cold has spread to his eye, but you should keep out of public places in the meantime.

Emily has had pink eye twice and her eye never got pink, but if you pulled the bottom lid down the inside of the lid was more red then usual. She also had a bit of goop, but the first time she had it for over a week before I even got concerned because I didn't know that it was even pink eye!!

I thought the cold was maybe spread to his eyes, but that is so Victorian.
Well, completely out of racheeeee character, I cancelled my playdate this afternoon. Ugh. Now the kid is asleep, my husband is on the phone with my mother (pigs ARE flying) and I am watching tv shows about buying houses in Spain.
