Does Yoga get easier?
I started to yoga again and Im just so STIFF and inflexible.
Will it get easier? Will it take a long time to get to a point where i dont feel like Im going to tear something? Lol I feel so frustrated that I cant even do some simple poses because my body just wont move in that direction. I feel like frankenstein doing some of these poses.

Re: Does Yoga get easier?
of course it will get easier- you just need to keep doing it
I see small changes daily- then some days I can't do a pose I did yesterday- it's all part of the journey

I "know" it will get easier in my head, but I just cant get over how hard some of it is for me right now. Im so out of practice.

Does Yoga get easier?
It does get better. I started doing yoga again after a long time and I see that I am better doing certain poses after 5-6 classes. It may take little bit longer for you but you will definitely get getter.

It will get better but you also have to remember that every day is different. Some days a pose will be easier then others. Concentrate on your breath and only push yourself if you can breath through it. if you're clenching your teeth or holding your breath it will only make that pose harder.

This!!! It does get easier but like the pp said..some days are better than others. Take each day for what it is and do the best you can in each class. Each class is different.

Re: Does Yoga get easier?
I have been practicing for several years, a few times a week, and there are still several poses I cannot get into at all or for more than a few seconds.
Other people go to one class and seem to be able to kick out on one leg and hold it the entire time.
Everyone's body is different, and your ability is going to change from day to day.
Overall though, I think the more you go, the more your body will improve.
It's also not about how far you can get into a posture, but moreso about your breath, your ability to focus and your ability to just show up and continue to try your best.
I know the hardest thing for me about yoga is making the time to just show up.

Re: Does Yoga get easier?
Yes - concentrate on your breathing and go deeper with each breath. Some things for me will never get easy though... due to all my running I have super tight hamstrings. Some of those yoga poses are like torture especially yesterday when i went the day after a half marathon race. SO it also depends on the individual, what else you do, etc. Try not to compare and enjoy!

Re: Does Yoga get easier?
Yoga practice, not yoga perfect Every class is different no matter how long you've been practicing. Just keep going back.
