Does your baby "cry" out in his/her sleep?

I'm sitting here and I hear DD making loud whining/crying noises through the monitor, but when I check on her she appears to be sleeping soundlly.

I feel badChat Icon

Yup. It happens a lot lately. But I think she is starting to dream. She even talks in her sleep lately! I hear, "Blahbah blahbah....WOO! Blobbyblobby, papa...WOO! Mama? Dada,? Nana? Papa? Ooooooooooooo" Then back to sleepChat Icon

Yep alot of times she says "DaDa" in her sleep too. I chalk it up to dreaming.

Well DD is only 11 weeks and can't talk yet. Several times last night she'd "cry/whine" loudly (it woke me up) and toss and turn for about 5 - 10 minutes and then go back to sleep.

I hope she's ok.

I would think it was gas, then it passed and she went back to bed. Chat Icon

Re: Does your baby "cry" out in his/her sleep?

DD has done this since she was a few weeks old.

We had to take her out of our room because she would wake us up and then we would go to her and wind up waking her up out of a sound sleep.

She still does this now, i just leave her until the cry changes, but 9 out of 10 times she is either sleeping or goes right back to sleep.

Yep. Jake does this a few times a week during the night. When I check the monitor, he is always sound asleep.

DD does this too - how long do you let them cry before you go in? DD cries but she's asleep- her eyes are closed.

Her's isn't a steady cry - she'll let out these yelps on and off for about 5 minutes. After getting up several times the first few times she did this and seeing she was still sleeping I just stay in bed. I'll get up when it becomes a real cry. It never has.

Bryan does this as well. It scares me but I honeslty think its just gas. He is a month old and I hear "aaaaaaaahhhhh" during his naps and at night.
