Does your DC's pediatrician call you even if test results came back normal?

I called my DC's pediatrician's office asking if they received blood work results that I had done for my DC two weeks ago. I had the blood work done somewhere else so the results had to be sent to them. I called today and they did get them and everything is normal.

The woman than said for the future if you don't hear from us that means everything is normal. I kind felt like I bothered them or something when she said that.

I feel like it would be nice if they just called so I know they got it. How does your DC's ped handle communication of test results?

Yes

I always get a reply back, good, bad or indifferent.

NO WAY would I just assume no news is good news! How frustrating and nerve wracking that would be.. ick
