Does your infant sleep through the night consistently??

OK so i thought i was out of the woods with sleep deprivation! Chat Icon DD is going to be 11 weeks. since about 7 weeks when we started the miracle blanket she has been sleeping A LOT better than she did in the very beginning. she would sleep 7,8, or 9 hrs most nights with a "bad" night sometimes here or there. now for the past week she's been up 2-3x a night to eat or just be up Chat Icon i can't figure it out...could it be b/c she is taking long naps in the afternoon?
is this just normal for them to fluctuate from sleeping all night to reverting back to their "newborn ways" and waking up a lot? for those of you whose DC sleeps through the night do you still have bad nights and nights in a row where your DC wakes a lot?
thanks! Chat Icon

Re: Does your infant sleep through the night consistently??

Lily slept through the night for the first time when she was exactly 6 weeks old. And she's slept through every night since then. She was 3 months on Wednesday.
I'm worried that teething will mess her up eventually, but we're enjoying the sleep while it lasts. Chat Icon

so far DS has been sleeping through the night too (he's 8 weeks) he goes down b/t 8:30-9:30 at night and will get up b/t 4-6:30, i'll change him and give him a bottle and then he goes back down for around another 2-3 hours. I am hoping once he starts teething it wont change. My doctor did say that anything at all can mess up an infants sleep, even if they were consistent. He said even if they hear a noise one night and then thats it. I am sure your DD will get back into his routineChat Icon

thanks for the replys! i do hope that DD goes back to her routine! i was getting so spoiled with her all night sleeping-it was wonderful! you are both so lucky your DC's sleep as well as they do! i wonder now if DD is teething since i have noticed a lot more drool when there never was before, hmm.. maybe thats the culprit Chat Icon

Re: Does your infant sleep through the night consistently??

DS has a pretty good night schedule.

He sleeps about 7 hours in his 1st sleep stretch and another 2-3 hours afterwards. Then again another hour or so.

He goes to sleep anywhere between 8:30pm-10:00pm. Usually wakes up 5-7 hours later.

He is on BM.
