Dog Beach
So, this past weekend, DH and I went down to Maryland with Spencer (to visit the in-laws). They brought us to this great dog beach in Annapolis. The dogs had a ball. All of them were playing so nicely and swimming in the bay. It was so much fun!
I was wondering if there is any such thing in LI? If anybody knows, please share the details!!

Re: Dog Beach
The closest thing to that which is legal is Gardiner's Park. There is a trail that goes straight to the beach where everyone lets their dogs play in the water and on the beach. You can also try Coindre Hall, but you have to be careful there because the police will enforce the leash law at random (dog has to be on a six foot leash). Smith Point is nice, you can have the dog off leash as long as you stay to the east of the parking area, but it is ocean not bay that the dog plays in.

Re: Dog Beach
Shinnecock park at the end of dune rd in southhampton allows dogs there they can go in the bay or the ocean. They are strict with the leash rule but I keep Cody on a 30-40ft leash. That where we'll be this weekend
